Girlfriends EnTourAge – Raleigh/Cary just announced a new event: The Color Purple Musical showing at Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC). This event was recommended by Pat Travis, Event Organizer. Our group will be attending this event on Sunday, May 30th.
The Color Purple is a soul-stirring musical based on the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker and the unforgettable film by Steven Spielberg. It is the inspiring story of a woman named Celie, who finds her unique voice in the world. This landmark theatrical event is a celebration of love. It has become a Broadway phenomenon. The show was nominated for eleven Tony® Awards and the Grammy®-nominated score features jazz, gospel and blues.
